UFC Fight Night 104: Bermudez vs. Korean Zombie Date: February 4, 2016 Arena: Toyota Center City: Houston, TX The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is back in Houston, TX for the fifth time in promotional history this Saturday (February 4, 2017) with UFC Fight Night 104: Bermudez vs. Korean Zombie. The 12-fight card kicks off with preliminary action on UFC Fight Pass at 7 p.m. (ET), and the prelims continue on FOX Sports 1 at 8 p.m., with the main card getting underway at 10 p.m. If interested in wagering on any bouts for this fight card, all betting lines will be made available to you at Several Bookmakers. My Over/Under Totals are: Heavyweight bout: Curtis Blaydes (-220) vs. Adam Milstead (+180) Gabe’s Thoughts: I think Blaydes’ superior wrestling will be the difference in this contest, and I do agree with him being a -220 betting favorite in this spot. That means I see no value in him to make a play, but I don’t see this heavyweight affair ending very early, so I do favor the Total of Over 1.5 rounds for a play here. I think Blaydes wins this fight by either late TKO or unanimous decision, so rather than playing him straight-up, I will opt to take the Over. Gabe’s Call: Blaydes by T/KO (punches, 3:11 round 3) Gabe’s Recommended Play: Over 1.5 rounds (-135) 2.7u to win 2u Light Heavyweight bout: Khalil Rountree (-165) vs. Daniel Jolly (+145) Gabe’s Thoughts: Finally, Rountree gets an opponent who isn’t going to look to take him down. That’s what I think anyway. I expect this to be a kickboxing contest, and if it does indeed play out that way, I think there is a good chance somebody goes down in the first round. I do favor Rountree to get the finish and pick up his first UFC victory in this contest. However, I see more value on Under 1.5 rounds at -130 more than Rountree straight at -165, as I think he wins this fight within seven-and-a-half minutes more often than not. It also keeps us in the clear if Jolly manages to put him away. Gabe’s Call: Rountree by T/KO (strikes, 1:01 round 1) Gabe’s Recommended Play: Under 1.5 rounds (-130) 2.6u to win 2u
