Here are my plays: Middleweight bout: Nate Marquardt (+135) vs Sam Alvey (-155) Gabe’s Thoughts: Marquardt has been looking good in his victories as of late but it is hard to argue that he is on a decline. I think the decline peaks it’s head again in this match-up, where I see Alvey catching the former Strikeforce welterweight champing and putting him away on the feet. I could see Alvey taking this fight on the scorecards, as well, but I think a finish is more likely. I think Smil’n Sam should be a -220 betting favorite heading into this middleweight contest, so I like him at his current offering price of -155. Gabe’s Call: Alvey by T/KO (punches, 3:16 round 1) Middleweight bout: Alessio Di Chirico (+100) vs Eric Spicely (-120) Gabe’s Thoughts: This is a classic “striker versus grappler” match-up in the UFC’s middleweight division. I believe the Italian will have the advantage on the feet, while Spicely will have the advantage on the mat, where he excels with his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu game. At the current betting odds, I see value in Di Chirico at +100, as I think he should be at least a -160 betting favorite heading into this 185-pound contest. Gabe’s Call: Di Chirico by T/KO (strikes, 4:12 round 1) Gabe’s Recommeded Parlay: Alvey (-155) and Di Chirico (+100) at +229 for 3.3u to win 7.5u All of my content and plays are free.
