Bellator returns tonight (January 21, 2017) with Bellator 170: Ortiz vs Sonnen. The main card is set to kick off at 9pm ET on Spike TV, with preliminary action to precede it on the promotion’s website at 6:30pm. If interested in wagering on any bouts for this fight card, all betting lines will be made available at Several Bookmakers. Here are my preliminary card prop plays: Chael Sonnen (-185) vs Tito Ortiz (+170) Sonnen by Decision (+181) 1u to win 1.81u I think this is the most likely outcome to this light heavyweight contest scheduled for three rounds. I see this being a grappling match and despite being the smaller fighter of the two, I think Sonnen will manage to outgrind Ortiz for the majority of three rounds en route to a unanimous decision victory on the judges’ scorecards. Paul Daley (-110) vs Brennan Ward (+100) Ward by Decision (+560) 1u to win 5.6u I feel that Ward winning this bout on the judges’ scorecards is the most likely outcome to this welterweight contest. I see this being a close fight on the feet and I think Ward’s superior grappling will ultimately make the difference, as I see him putting Daley on his back in this match-up, especially in rounds two and three. At +560, I think this betting line holds a lot of value and I really like it for a play. Hisaki Kato (-310) vs Ralek Gracie (+280) Kato by Decision (+891) 1u to win 8.91u This is simply a value play, as I think Kato stands a decent chance of winning this fight on the judges’ scorecards. I favor a finish, but I could see Gracie fighting somewhat smart and avoiding a finish here.
