The 12-fight card is set to kick off with preliminary action at 6 p.m. (ET) on Fight Pass, and prelims will continue at 8 p.m. on FOX Sports 1. Here are my plays: Lightweight bout: Devin Powell (+195) vs. Drakkar Klose (-235) Gabe’s Thoughts: Powell is seen on the latest episode of Dana White’s Lookin’ For a Fight reality series on UFC Fight Pass, where he impressed the UFC president and earned a contract with the promotion. He owns a six-fight winning streak heading into this contest, with four of those wins coming inside the distance. He was set to make his promotional debut against Jordan Rinaldi, who was forced out of the bout due to injury and replaced with short notice UFC newcomer Klose. An undefeated MMA Lab product, Klose owns four of his six victories by way of finish. He will be giving up a size advantage in this contest, but I see his superior striking making the difference. I can see him scoring a T/KO in this contest but if he fails to find the finish, I think he out-strikes Powell en route to a unanimous-decision nod on the judges’ scorecards. Gabe’s Call: Klose by T/KO (strikes, 2:55 round 1) Light Heavyweight bout: Bojan Mihaljovic (+195) vs. Joachim Christensen (-235) Gabe’s Thoughts: This is a matchup between two fighters who likely will not be in the UFC a year or two from now. I don’t think either of them is UFC-caliber, though I do think Christensen is the superior fighter of the two here. This is just a bad fight, but I think it is Christensen’s to lose. If I was not wagering on it, I would have absolutely zero interest in tuning into this one.
