UFC 207: Nunes vs Rousey Date: December 30, 2016 Arena: T-Mobile Arena City: Las Vegas, NV The UFC 207 fight card is stacked with 10 scheduled bouts, with preliminary action getting going at 7:30pm ET on UFC Fight Pass and continuing on FOX Sports 1 at 8pm. The main card will be live on Pay Per View at 10pm, and all betting lines will be made available at Several Bookmakers. The ‘Fight of the Night’ plays that hold the most value are: Pyle/Garcia +1500 || .25u to win 3.75u Mike Pyle and Alex Garcia are two welterweights who are coming off knockout defeats and are looking to bounce back into the win column. This is an important fight for both 170-pounders, as Pyle is nearing the end of his career and a possible retirement or contract termination could come following any defeat for the 41-year-old veteran. Garcia is coming off a rough loss but still hopes to make a run at 170-pounds and has a shot at doing so, starting with an impressive victory over Pyle. Should he come up short here, his chances of ever breaking into the top 15 will become almost zero. Pyle and Garcia will both be searching for impressive victories in this contest, and as long as there’s no early finish, I think they stand a good chance of producing an entertaining scrap. At +1500, I think this is worth a stab. Should these welterweights earn the evening’s bonus, it would be the second time for Pyle being the first for Garcia. Thatch/Price +1000 || .5u to win 5u I expect this to be a very entertaining scrap from start to finish, regardless of how long it lasts. Brandon Thatch and Niko Price are two strikers who are fun to watch, and I think pitting them against each other inside the Octagon is a great recipe for fireworks, so at +1000, I think this bet holds some good value. I think both welterweights will come out the gate hot, looking to take each others heads off. I expect a strong start from both and some entertaining exchanges until there’s only one man left standing. Should these 170-pound fighters manage to take home the evening’s ‘Fight of the Night’ honors, it would mean the second time for Thatch, while of course being the first for the promotional newcomer Price.
