Khabib Nurmagomedov offers Tony Ferguson $200,000 to fight him So far in 2017, a few high-profile UFC fighters seem to be taking it into their own hands — and mouths — to try to make some blockbuster matchups happen even if the organization has yet to approve them. Nothing has been formally planned out past March of this year, with new ownership remaining quiet about plans for title fights and other blockbuster bouts so far. But on Monday, No. 1 lightweight contender Khabib Nurmagomedov (24-0) took to Twitter to let No. 2 contender Tony Ferguson (22-3) know that he is willing to put up $200,000 of his own money to make a fight between them happen since the UFC has not done it for them…

Ferguson had previously demanded equal pay to take on Nurmagomedov despite signing a new deal with the UFC that reportedly prevents that from making the same. UFC president Dana White said the fight would not happen for that reason even though the public is demanding it. The proposed bout would be for the interim lightweight title with current champion Conor McGregor (21-3) out of action for the next 10 months to focus on the birth of his child. Michael Bisping and Tyron Woodley agree to 180-pound catchweight bout? Yes, current UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping (30-7) and welterweight champ Tyron Woodley (16-3-1) also were seen verbally agreeing to a superfight of sorts at a catchweight of 180 pounds backstage during UFC 207 last Friday in Las Vegas. Both fighters are coming off title defenses at the end of 2016 and right now do not have new opponents. Bisping posted the video below on his Instagram account to show the world he means business. There is a current opening for a main event at UFC Fight Night 108 at the O2 Arena in London on March 18th, with Bisping hinting at that as a possible date.
