Here are my plays: Bantamweight bout: Urijah Faber (-440) vs Brad Pickett (+350) Gabe’s Thoughts: It’s Last Call for “The California Kid” as he prepares to make the walk for the final time when he takes on fellow veteran Pickett in front of his hometown Sacramento crowd. Faber is the superior and more well-rounded mixed martial artist heading into this 135-pound contest and will have a wrestling advantage, which he will likely look to implement. I expect Faber to look to outgrapple Pickett in this contest while searching for submissions. On the feet, Pickett will be looking to take Faber’s head off and will be a threat to do so, despite the fact that Faber has never been knocked out. He does however have one TKO defeat, being a controversial one against Renan Barao. I think this is a good final match-up for Faber to get a win and ride into the sunset on. I won’t be surprised to see Pickett pull off the upset here, but I think this is Faber’s fight to lose and I see him getting the job done in front of his home crowd. Gabe’s Call: Faber by Submission (guillotine choke, 2:33 round 2) Bantamweight bout: Eddie Wineland (-220) vs Takeya Mizugaki (+180) Gabe’s Thoughts: I think Wineland is the superior striker heading into this bantamweight contest and I see him finding success in defending Mizugaki’s takedown attempts, keeping this fight standing and outboxing the Japanese veteran. I see Wineland’s superior boxing being the difference in this match-up, and while Mizugaki should never be counted out of a fight, I do think this is Wineland’s fight to lose. Coming off an impressive TKO win over Frankie Saenz, I think the Indiana native continues to roll here with a win over Mizugaki. Gabe’s Call: Wineland by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) Gabe’s Recommeded Parlay: Faber (-440) and Wineland (-220) at -128 2.3u to win 1.8u All of my content and plays are free.
