MMAOddsBreaker’s Frank Trigg speaks with UFC on FOX 22 bantamweight Brad Pickett as he prepares for his upcoming preliminary card bout this Saturday (December 17, 2016) against Urijah Faber at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California.
The Brit reflects on losing to Iuri Alcantara in his last fight in England and what the expectations are for fighting Faber on his home turf in the last bout of his career:
“I just need to put that (loss to Alcantara) behind me and get on with my life. Stylistically, I like the fight with Urijah Faber. It’s a much better matchup for me. And also, I have no pressure. In my last one, I’m fighting in my hometown, all the pressure’s on me. No one really knew Iuri Alcantara. With Urijah, everyone knows Urijah. All the focus is on Urijah, he’s in his hometown, he’s retiring. It’s all about him, him, him. Now I can just come around the back, and nobody’s really paying any attention to me, and I can get in there and get the job done.”
