Multiple sources have confirmed that top-ranked bantamweight contenders Jimmie Rivera (20-1) and Bryan Caraway (21-7) will clash in the co-main event of UFC Fight Night 103: Rodriguez vs. Penn. The event will be held at the Talking Stick Resort Arena in Phoenix on January 15th, 2017. “El Terror” owns a very impressive 19-fight winning streak heading into this bout against Caraway, including 4-0 inside the Octagon, with a first-round knockout of Marcus Brimage and decision victories over Pedro Munhoz, Iuri Alcantara and Urijah Faber. He took on Faber a couple of months ago at UFC 203 in Cleveland and became the first bantamweight to defeat the Sacramento native in a non-title fight. Meanwhile, “Kid Lightning” is riding a two-fight winning streak inside the Octagon with a pair of decision wins over Eddie Wineland and Aljamain Sterling. Coming off his UFC Fight Night 88 win over Sterling six months ago, Caraway hopes to make it three in a row by handing Rivera his first loss in more than eight years.
