UFC Fight Night 99 Date: November 19, 2016 Arena: SSE Arena Belfast City: Belfast, Northern Ireland The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) heads to Belfast, Northern Ireland with UFC Fight Night 99: Mouasi vs Hall II. The UFC will be in Belfast for the second time in promotional history and first since UFC 72 in 2007. The 14-fight card will air entirely on UFC Fight Pass, with preliminary action starting at 12:15pm ET and the main card following at 4pm. If interested in wagering on any bouts for this fight card, all betting lines will be made available at Several Bookmakers. My Fights to AVOID betting are: Women’s Strawweight bout: Amanda Cooper (-130) vs Anna Elmose (+110) Gabe’s Thoughts: This is the second UFC fight for both of these ladies, and the first one at 115-pounds for Elmose, who made her promotional debut at bantamweight and lost to Germaine de Randamie via first round TKO. Cooper was a TUF 23 finalist, losing to the undefeated Tatiana Suarez. I agree with the betting odds in that this is a very close fight. I will likely remain undecided until weigh-ins and staredown ceremonies take place on Friday. Gabe’s Call: Elmose by Split Decision (28-29, 29-28, 29-28) Gabe’s Recommended Play: AVOID Welterweight bout: Zak Cummings (-170) vs Alexander Yakovlev (+150) Gabe’s Thoughts: I am in complete agreement with the betting odds for this 170-pound scrap, thus I see no value in playing Cummings at -170. I think Yakovlev should be the underdog here but I could see him winning this fight, though he would likely need a finish to do so. That said, this is ultimately Cummings’ fight to lose and if he shows up healthy with a smart game plan, he should come out on top with the victory. I see him using his advantages in size and strength to grind the Russian out here, but I would not play him at this price, because I could see Yakovlev catching him with something along the way. At the current odds, I see no betting value in either fighter for this contest, so this will ultimately have to be a fight I suggest backing our wallets away from this Saturday. Gabe’s Call: Cummings by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) Gabe’s Recommended Play: AVOID
