Bellator 131’s Mike Richman: ‘My fists are going to be sore after this fight’

MMAOddsBreaker’s Frank Trigg speaks with Bellator 131 featherweight Mike Richman as he prepares for his upcoming main card bout against Nam Phan tonight (November 15, 2014) at the Valley View Casino Center in San Diego, California.

The talented striker knows Phan is durable but that won’t stop him from trying to connect as much as possible with his powerful hands in this contest:

“I think if you really look at Nam Phan and how he is, he’s kinda brings that same fight every fight. Be a really plodding, heavy on his feet jiu-jitsu guy. He might shoot for single legs here or there against me, but I plan for the same Nam Phan. He’s the type who rarely ever switches up his style. He does his boxing thing and if it goes to the ground, he works on teh ground. Stylistically, that makes for a super-exciting fight for the both of us. We both like to stand in the pocket and throw punches. If I don’t know him out, my fists are going to be sore at the end of the fight.”
