Gabe Killian’s Two-Way Parlay for the TUF 27 Finale

TUF 27 Finale
Date: July 6
Arena: Pearl Theater
City: Las Vegas, NV

Here is my parlay…

Lightweight bout: Luis “Violent Bob Ross” Pena (-290) vs. Richie Smullen (+245)

Gabe’s Thoughts: I see Pena finding success in keeping this fight standing, where I expect him to soundly outstrike Smullen, as I believe he is the superior striker of the two heading into this 155-pound contest scheduled for three rounds. Smullen has the edge in submissions, but not only does Pena have the edge in striking, but he is also the superior wrestler of the two, so he will arguably have the edge on the mat, as well, should the scrap end up there. I see this as being Violent Bob’s fight to lose, and I see him getting the job done inside the distance.

Gabe’s Call: Pena by T/KO (strikes, 1:46 round 1)

Middleweight bout: Oskar Piechota (-190) vs. Gerald Meerschaert (+165)

Gabe’s Thoughts: I believe Piechota is the superior mixed martial artist of the two heading into this 185-pound contest scheduled for three rounds. I see the fight taking place on the feet, where I believe Piechota will overwhelm Meerschaert and ultimately put him away with strikes. I see this as being the Pole’s fight to lose and I see him remaining unbeaten inside the Octagon with another impressive victory. This fight is arguably a step down in competition for Piechota following his wins over Jonathan Wilson and Tim Williams, so I expect him to continue to roll here.

Gabe’s Call: Piechota by T/KO (strikes, 4:34 round 1)

Gabe’s Recommended Parlay: Pena (-290) and Piechota (-190) at +105
