LFA 39 takes place at Dobson Arena in Vail, Colorado on Friday (May 4, 2018) at 9pm ET live on AXS TV. The interim middleweight title is up for grabs as Ian Henisch faces Gabriel Checco in the main event.
Heinisch (9-1) bounced back from his first career loss to earn a highlight reel knockout victory over Daniel Madrid at LFA 31 in January. Prior to that, the Factory X standout suffered a first-round submission loss to UFC middleweight Markus Perez at LFA 22. The 29-year-old finished three of his last six opponents. Checcho (10-2) hasn’t competed since a Sept. 2016 submission vicotry over Adam Stroup at RFA 43. The Xtreme Couture product was slated to fight on the Contender Series twice last year (against Chase Waldon and Charles Byrd) but due to injury both times he was unable to compete. The 32-year-old will be looking for his third straight win.

The co-main event is a middleweight matchup with Christiano Frohlich facing Hayward Charles.
Frohlich (9-3) has won five-straight fights, including a unanimous decision victory over Factory X’s Cortez Coleman at Primus FC back in January. The 27-year-old has finished four of his last five opponents and will be making his LFA debut. Charles (15-10) has lost four of his last five fights including a third round TKO loss to Kevin Holland at XKO 39. The 29-year-old will also be making his LFA debut.
