Five Props that Cashed Big at UFC Fight Night 128
Five Props is a column featured on MMAOddsbreaker.com after every major MMA event that highlights the biggest underdog prop bets to cash out from that card. Here are five UFC 223 prop bets that cashed big based on the closing odds from across various sportsbooks.
1) David Branch by Knockout (+845)
Against one of the most feared strikers in the division, David Branch did what few thought he could do and that is knockout Thiago Santos. It was a big win for Branch solidifying his position in the top ten. Branch by knockout was the top prop of the night at +845.
2) Kevin Lee by Knockout (+580)
Kevin Lee brutalized Edson Barboza over the course of five rounds. While he came close to finishing Barboza on multiple occasions, it wasn’t until the doctor stopped it well into the fifth that Lee earned the stoppage he desired. With the doctor stoppage comes a TKO. Lee by knockout paid out a handsome +580.
3) Ricky Simon by Submission (+577)
In one of the most dramatic endings to a UFC fight ever, Ricky Simon had opponent, Merab Dvalishvili, in a guillotine choke for the final 40 seconds of the bout. Simon had Dvalishvili very close to tapping. When the final bell rung, the referee ruled that Dvalishvili was out and therefore declared Simon winner by submission and for bettors a +577 prop winner.
4) Dan Hooker by Knockout (+430)
Dan Hooker impressed in his victory over veteran Jim Miller. Hooker landed a knee in the first round that sent Miller to the canvas. It was a clean out knockout and a +430 winner for knockout bettors.
5) Siyar Bahadurzada by Knockout (+260)
“Siyar the Great” earned his third straight finish as he landed a huge body kick in the second round which forced Luan Chagas to stop fighting and the bout was called. Bahadurzada paid out a solid +260 given his finishing proficiency.
A $100 parlay on these five props would have netted $829,957.
