A few matchups have been announced for upcoming cards, and the fights are:

Alistair Overeem vs. Curtis Blaydes, UFC 225

A heavyweight bout between top contenders Alistair Overeem and Curtis Blaydes is set to go down this summer, according to a report from BJPenn.com’s Tom Taylor. The two big boys will meet at UFC 225, which takes place June 9 at United Center in Chicago, IL. It’s expected this bout will serve as the co-main event when it’s officially announced. Overeem is one of the top heavyweights in the UFC but is coming off of a brutal KO loss to Francis Ngannou and it’s hard to say where he is at right now in his career. Blaydes, meanwhile, is 4-1, 1 NC in the UFC and most recently bested Mark Hunt. Blaydes has looked amazing and Overeem is on the decline, but I still figure Overeem will be a slight favorite here based on name value alone.

Gregor Gillespie vs. Vinc Pichel, UFC Fight Night 131

Additionally, a lightweight bout between Gregor Gillespie and Vinc Pichel has been set for UFC Fight Night 131, which takes place June 1 at Adirondack Center in Utica, NY. Gillespie has gone 4-0 in the UFC and has won his last three fights via stoppage. He looks like an incredible prospects at 155lbs and perhaps even a future champion as he has a well-rounded MMA game and finishing ability on the floor and on the mat. Pichel is 4-1 in the UFC and has won his last fought fights in a row. He’s battled injuries throughout his career but has been nothing short of impressive as of late. Having said that, I still heavily favor Gillespie to win this fight, and I expect him to open as a big favorite like he usually is.
