UFC on FOX 28: Stephens vs. Emmett

The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is headed back to Orlando, FL for the third time in promotional history with UFC on FOX 28: Stephens vs. Emmett. The 13 fight card is scheduled to kick off with preliminary action on UFC Fight Pass at 4:15 p.m. ET. Prelims will continue on FOX at 6 p.m., and the main card will be underway on the same channel at 8 p.m.
Here are my prop plays…
Jeremy Stephens (-140) vs. Josh Emmett (+130)
Not Stephens Inside the Distance (-169) 1.69u to win 1u
If Stephens wins, I think it will be on the judges’ scorecards, as I believe Emmett is going to be tough to put away, even for a heavy hitter like Stephens. I favor Emmett to get his hand raised here, but if he comes up short, I think it will be on the scorecards.
Jessica Andrade (-275) vs. Tecia Torres (+250)
Torres Inside the Distance (+870) .5u to win 4.35u
Torres by Submission (+1850) .5u to win 9.25u
I think it is more likely that Torres wins on the scorecards, but I see more value in these odds. I can see her dropping Andrade, taking her back and sinking in a rear naked choke to earn the tap. If the fight stays standing, I can see Torres finding success with her straight punches and counters, and it would not surprise me to see her drop Andrade, despite not being a very powerful strawweight.
Mike Perry (-340) vs. Max Griffin (+310)
Fight Goes to Decision (+260) 1u to win 2.6u
Perry by Decision (+431) .5u to win 2.15u
Griffin by Decision (+615) .5u to win 3.07u
Putting it simply, I think it is 50/50 as to whether this fight ends inside the distance or by decision, and that makes me really like these odds.
