MMA Odds and Ends for Wednesday: Artem Lobov vs Alex Caceres booked for UFC 223

Lobov vs Caceres at UFC 223

MMA Fighting is reporting that a featherweight contest has been scheduled between Artem Lobov and Alex Caceres at UFC 223 in Brooklyn on April 7th. Lobov (13-14-1, 1 NC) is on a two-fight losing streak, most recently dropping a pair of decisions to Cub Swanson and Andre Fili. Caceres (13-11, 1 NC) most recently lost a split decision to Wang Guan and has lost three of four bouts. This could very well be a loser leaves town contest.

Look for Caceres to open as a betting favorite, but he’ll have to protect his chin against Lobov’s power on the feet.
