MMA Odds and Ends for Wednesday: Thiago Santos vs David Branch booked

Santos vs Branch at UFC Fight Night 128

A bout between Thiago Santos and David Branch was announced for the upcoming April 21st event in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Santos (17-5) has won four straight bouts including an impressive second round TKO this past weekend against Anthony Smith. Branch (21-4) was scheduled to take on Yoel Romero, but Romero was pulled from the bout to fight Luke Rockhold this weekend. Branch most recently lost a headlining bout to Rockhold last September.

Look for Santos to open as the favorite, but Branch definitely has paths to victory with his elite grappling skills.

A light heavyweight contest between Corey Anderson and Patrick Cummins was also announced for the fight card.
