UFC Fight Night 125 Closing Odds and Betting Results

UFC Fight Night 125 took place Saturday, February 3, 2018 in Belem, Brazil. The card was headlined by a middleweight fight between Lyoto Machida and Eryk Anders.

Favorites that Won

In one of the most lopsided fights in recent memory, Valentina Schevchenko dominated every second of her bout with Priscilla Cachoeira submitting her in the second round. Schevchenko closed the biggest favorite on the card at -1100 with the return on Cachoeira +700. 

Michel Prazerez used his power and strength advantage to get the best of Dez Green to win a decision. Prazeres closed -120 while Green closed +100.

Thiago Santos and Anthony Smith had a wild fight with both fighters hurting the other at points in their bout. At the beginning of the second round, Santos landed a kick to the body that hurt Smith. Santos stepped in with ground and pound forcing the referee to stop the bout to give the Brazilian the victory. Santos closed -255 with the return on Smith +215.

Alan Patrick employed a grappling heavy game plan taking Damir Hadzovic to the mat at will to win an easy decision. Patrick closed -240 while Hadzovic closed +200.

Polyana Viana dominated Maia Stevenson taking her to the mat, beating her up in top control, and then taking her back to sync in a rear naked choke for the victory in the first round. Viana closed -440. Stevenson closed +350.

Iuri Alcantara came out of the gate strong and was able to catch Joe Soto on the feet and finish with ground and pound to win by first round TKO. Alcantara closed -120 with Soto closing +100.

Underdogs that Won

Fighting in front of his hometown fans, Lyoto Machida went 25 minutes with Eryk Anders. Machida fought composed in the final round to get the nod on the scorecards to win a split decision for his first victory in the UFC since 2014. Machida closed a +205 underdog with the return on Anders -245.

In an undercard filled with success by Brazilians, Timothy Johnson was the first non-Brazilian to get a victory at UFC Fight Night 125 as he outworked Marcelo Golm to a decision win. Johnson closed +150 while Golm closed -170.

Douglas Silva de Andrade maintained an excellent pace for 15 minutes backing up and landing the heavier punches to beat Marlon Vera by decision. Andrade closed +165 with the return on Vera -190.

In a back and forth fight that was nearly all on the feet, despite landing less total punches, Sergio Moraes landed the bigger punches to squeak out a split decision victory over Tim Means. Moraes closed +173 while Means closed -205. 

Deiveson Figueiredo got the best of Joseph Morales hurting him in the second round and following up with ground and pound to win by second round TKO. Figueiredo closed +110 while Morales closed -130.
