Smith to debut at UFC 221
Longtime Bellator color commentator Jimmy Smith announced on Twitter yesterday that he’ll be debuting at UFC 221 in February. The event will take place in Perth, Australia and features an interim middleweight title bout between former champion Luke Rockhold and former title challenger Yoel Romero.
Marshman vs Zaleski dos Santos at UFC London UFC announced on Instagram yesterday a welterweight scrap between Jack Marshman and Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos at UFC Fight Night 127 in London on March 17th. Marshman (22-7) is dropping down to the welterweight division after going 2-2 thus far inside the Octagon at middleweight. Zaleski (18-5) is currently riding a four-fight win streak in the welterweight division and is on the fringe of the top 15.
I’d expect Zaleski to open as a betting favorite due to his strong recent run and the well-roundedness of his game, but Marshman’s size and power could be a difference maker.
