Prop Plays for UFC 220

UFC 220: Miocic vs. Ngannou
Date: January 20th
Arena: TD Garden
City: Boston, MA

The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is headed to Boston, MA for the fifth time in promotional history with UFC 220: Miocic vs. Ngannou. The 11 fight card is scheduled to kick off with preliminary action on UFC Fight Pass at 7 p.m. ET. Prelims will continue on FOX Sports 1 at 8 p.m., with the main card getting under way on Pay Per View at 10 p.m. If interested in wagering on any bouts for these fight cards, all betting lines are made available at Several Bookmakers.

Here are my prop plays…

Francis Ngannou (-165) vs. Stipe Miocic (+145)

Ngannou by Submission (+1350) .5u to win 6.75u

I favor a T/KO finish by Ngannou in this contest, but I think a submission is a very likely outcome, as well. Miocic will be looking to wrestle in this bout, and in doing so, I think he could get caught in a submission, most likely a guillotine choke.

Gian Villante (-140) vs. Francimar Barroso (+130)

Villante in Round One (+445) .45u to win 2u

I think this is a good matchup for Villante and I like his chances of finishing it early. At +445, I think it’s worth a play.

Rob Font (-106) vs. Thomas Almeida (-104)

Almeida by T/KO (+279) .7u to win 1.95u

Almeida in Round One (+435) .45u to win 1.95u

Almeida by Submission (+850) .2u to win 1.7u

In short, I favor Almeida in this contest and I see value in these betting lines.

Alexandre Pantoja (-120) vs. Dustin Ortiz (+110)

Pantoja by Submission (+416) .65u to win 2.7u

I like Pantoja in this spot, and while I favor him to get the job done on the judges’ scorecards, I think a submission victory is likely as well and certainly worth a play at +416.

Julio Arce (-130) vs. Dan Ige (+120)

Arce by T/KO (+400) 1 to win 4u

Putting it simply, I believe Arce has a big striking advantage in this contest and I see him finding success in keeping the fight standing and out striking Ige, likely for a T/KO stoppage.
