UFC 219 Main Card Opening Betting Odds

The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is taking a week off for Christmas, but it returns with a vengeance on December 30th with UFC 219 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The main event will be a women’s featherweight championship match between titleholder Cris Cyborg and former bantamweight champion Holly Holm. 

Betting odds for the headlining fight have already been released, but the rest of the main card is action-packed.

The co-main event of the evening features two of the most prominent lightweights on the planet as undefeated Khabib Nurmagomedov takes on elite striker Edson Barboza. Nurmagomedov was supposed to fight Tony Ferguson for the interim UFC title in his last fight, but a bad weight cut forced him out of the bout at the last minute and he has to prove himself again. Barboza is riding a three-fight winning streak with impressive victories over Anthony Pettis, Gilbert Melendez and Beneil Dariush.

In bantamweight action, top contender Jimmie Rivera takes on heavy hitter John Lineker. Lineker is stepping in on short notice for former champion Dominick Cruz, who was forced out of the bout with an injury. Rivera is currently riding a 20-fight winning streak which includes a 5-0 run in the UFC.

Also on tap, former interim UFC champion Carlos Condit returns from hiatus to take on the always game Neil Magny in a welterweight showdown while top women’s strawweight contenders Carla Esparza and Cynthia Calvillo duke it out in a pivotal 115-pound match-up. 

MMA oddsmaker Nick Kalikas opened the betting odds for the UFC 219 main card today at Several Bookmakers.
