Bellator 191 takes place this Friday (Dec. 15, 2017) at Metro Radio Arena and will air on SPIKE TV. BAMMA 33 will make up the preliminary portion of this card. In the main event, former UFC title challenger Michael McDonald faces Peter Ligier.
McDonald (17-4) hasn’t competed since a June 2016 loss to John Lineker and has fought only twice since 2014. The 26-year-old has alternated between wins and losses in his last five fights. Ligier (8-1-1) is currently riding a four-fight unbeaten streak including a decision victory over Alesandro Sasha Pirev at European Beatdown 2. The 31-year-old will be making his promotional debut.
Also on this card is another former UFC title challenger in Valerie Letourneau who will be making her Bellator debut against Kate Jackson in the co-feature. Letourneau (8-6) hasn’t competed since a split-decision loss to Viviane Pereira at UFC 206 in December 2016. The 34-year-old has lost three-straight fights and she’ll be looking for her first win since August 2015. Jackson (9-2-1) has won five-fights in a row including a TKO victory over Colleen Schneider at Bellator 182 in August. The Ultimate Fighter Season 23 competitor hasn’t lost a fight since a 2013 TKO loss to Joanna Jędrzejczyk however she did lose to Tatiana Suarez by submission in an exhibition bout on TUF 23.
Headlining the BAMMA 33 prelims is former UFC lightweight Mickael Lebout who faces Ryan Scope. Lebout (16-7-3) is unbeaten in his last three fights including a majority decision draw against Marcin Bandel at Fight Club Slam 2017. Scope (10-1) is coming off the first loss of his career when he was submitted by Lewis Long at M4TC 23: Carnage in February.
