Cage 41 takes place at Cultural Centre in Helsinki, Finland this Saturday (Nov 25, 2017) at 11 a.m. (ET). In the main event featherweight prospect Alex Gilpin makes his promotional debut against Joni Salovaara
Gilpin (9-1) heads into this matchup on a four-fight win streak, with all four of those wins coming by stoppage. The lone blemish on the 25-year-old’s resume was a split decision setback to Dan Moret at RFA 40 in 2016. Salovaara (18-9, 2 NC) has won four of his last five fights, including a third-round submission victory over Alexey Oleinik at Cage 40. The 31-year-old will be competing for the third time this year.
In the co-main event, undefeated Roman Dík faces off with Matteus Lahdesmaki in a 150-pound catchweight affair. Dik (5-0) makes his promotional debut after finishing his last four opponents. Lahdesmaki (13-9-3) competes for the first time since March 2014 and has lost two of his last three fights. The 31-year-old will be looking for just his second win since 2013.
In a flyweight bout Italy’s Yari Orsini squares off with Abdul Hussein. Orsini (7-1) competes for the first time outside his native Italy and has finished two of his last three opponents. Hussien (3-0) made his pro-debut in November 2016 and has stopped his last three opponents.
In a 165-pound catchweight matchup, Tuukka Repo goes toe to toe against Claudio Vecani. Repo (4-1) has won back-to-back fights including a first-round TKO win over Vítězslav Rajnoch at Cage 40 in September. Vecani (5-2) is coming off a unanimous decision loss to Beckhan Aktaliev at ACB 66 in August which snapped his four-fight win streak.
