MMA Odds and Ends for Friday: Newcomer Marcelo Golm now faces Christian Colombo at UFC Fight Night 119

UFC officials announced Thursday that Marcelo Golm has stepped up to take on Christian Colombo on Oct. 28th for UFC Fight Night 119 which takes place at Ibirapuera Gymnasium in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Columbo’s original opponent Carlos Felipe was flagged by USADA.

Golm (4-0) heads into his UFC debut on a four-fight win streak, with all of those victories coming by first-round knockout. All of the 25-year-old’s professional fights have taken place in Brazil. Columbo (8-2-1) is still searching for his first UFC victory after going to a draw with Jarjis Danho in his debut and suffering a loss to Luis Henrique. Here’s an updated look at the card.
