UFC 214’s Jon Jones vs. Daniel Cormier rematch overturned to no-contest

On Wednesday the California State Athletic Commission (CSAC) overturned the result of Jon Jones’ TKO victory over Daniel Cormier on July 29th at UFC 214. The news comes after Jones’ B sample from his UFC 214 pre-fight drug test came back positive for the steroid Turinabol. The 30-year-old could face up to a four year suspension by USADA.  In addition, UFC Tonight reported that Daniel Cormier has become the UFC light heavyweight champion again.

Jesse Taylor off UFC Sydney due to a USADA violation

USADA announced on Wednesday that Ultimate Fighter 25 winner Jesse Taylor has been flagged for an Anti-Doping Policy violation stemming from an out-of-competition sample taken on Aug. 22, two months after his submission victory over Dhiego Lima at TUF 25 Finale. Due to the distance for the card, his opponent Belal Muhammad has also been removed from the card and the matchup has been nixed. UFC Fight Night Sydney takes place on Nov. 18.
