MMA Odds and Ends for Wednesday: Joe Soto vs Brett Johns booked, Aaron Pico gets next fight

Joe Soto vs Brett Johns booked for The Ultimate Fighter 26 Finale

Joe Soto (18-5) is slated to take on Brett Johns (14-0) in a bantamweight clash at the TUF 26 Finale on December 1, 2017 in Las Vegas, according to a report from BBC Sport. Soto is currently riding a three-fight winning streak, submitting Chris Beal and Marco Beltran and most recently earning a decision over Rani Yahya. Johns has gone 2-0 inside the Octagon, with unanimous decision victories over Kwan Ho Kwak and Albert Morales. This should be a very good test against a fringe top 15 fighter to see just how good Johns is.

Here is the announced fight card thus far:

Women’s 125 lb title: TBA vs. TBD
185 lbs: Andrew Sanchez vs. Ryan Janes
185 lbs: Gerald Meerschaert vs. Eric Spicely

The bout is scheduled to take place September 23, 2017 at the SAP Center in San Jose, California.
